Back in shape: Retro Cardio.

Hello ! You’re having a gorgeous day ! Even though life is sometimes a challenge, at the end of the day, it remains a game. We need to play it hard, we have to love it, and before all, have fun playing it. Even when losing those few stubborn pounds of fat or gaining those few picky grams of muscle can sometimes be a struggle, never forget that at the end, everything is going to be okay. If it is not okay, then it is not the end. Let’s push ourselves until we hit our targets! 😄

Yet, we need to keep in mind that about 50% of our overall body shape, the ability of our organisms to lose or to gain weight, and to maintain that weight, is directly linked to our genetic. Other factors remains the way we feed ourselves, our amount of physical activities, and also our overall lifestyles including the quality of our sleep, our emotional state, or any specific condition… Lucky us, we know simple ways to boost our metabolisms, and increase the amount of calories our bodies need. Not only clean carbs, proteins, or healthy fat, not only some workouts that will push our bodies to burn calories, hours after we actually completed them such as strength, musculation or high intensity interval training, but also some good old school steady-state cardio, such as aerobics, running, swimming, any physical activities with very low changes of rhythm… Not too much of it, but just enough so we can burn some fat on the go, and smoothly get our bodies ready to get back to their best shapes !

Remember, the deal with steady-state low to medium intensity cardio is that we have to get into it for at least 30 to 35 mins to start using our body fat (before that time, our organisms will mostly use the fuel from the food we ate), and we won’t be burning that many calories during the recovery time. We won’t need too much of some steady-state cardio sessions neither, as over 60 minutes training, our ultra-clever protective organisms won’t have any choice but finding the needed stamina in our muscles… This is the so-called muscle-loss fever, and trust me, we don’t want to caught that fever right now… However,  low intensity cardio is a wonderful ally on gently boosting our metabolisms, and for most of us, getting that endorphins fix 😜. Overall, for an efficient back-in-shape, we will ultimately need to mix steady state cardio, HIIT, strength, and stretching. Seasoned with love, passion, motivation and commitment for stunning results.

So here I am, with an Old School Funky Vibes Retro Cardio Session. Feel also welcome to visit DW Wellness TV for more quick workouts, I can’t wait to hear from you !

With love,
